Never a Disappointment

I knew rain was not in the forecast today so I decided to go to the di Rosa. The di Rosa is a private museum located in the rolling hills of Napa on 217 acres. The di Rosa has three separate galleries, a sculpture park, a 35-acre lake, and a wildlife preserve. It had been a few years since I had been there and because they have a collection of over 2,000 artworks primarily from Northern California artists, I knew I could view some new contemporary artwork that I had never seen before. I booked a two hour tour in advance and headed out the door to begin my adventure.

This exhibition of modern art has something for everyone to enjoy. The students from Sacramento City College really gave this exhibition some thought. I say this because of the array of objects they brought together to put in one exhibition.

The reception for this exhibition was February 25, 2016 from 6-8 pm.

I went to see this exhibition yesterday and found myself going back today (March 2, 2016) because I fell in love with the artworks. Never before had I ever seen works of art created with sugar. I found the entire collection of skull works breath taking. The oil paintings were equally impressive to look at and admire.

I missed the reception for these northern Californian artists however, I was able to locate website for both of them. Here are the links to learn more about their work.
